Am I the only one picturing Godzilla, towering over the other contestants, in an evening gown...at the Miss America Pageant....and discussing how if Godzilla wins the crown, he'll trample in the name of world peace?

They do that to make themselves feel better I think because when you put a label on something or someone it is saying something about that thing or person which to means that people just wants to speculate because they don't know the real answer to things that are beyond the simple minds of the human race GOD does exist in my eyes people want things to be proven to them which is not bad all the time but for those people who think that GOD is not real because you cannot prove it well you even prove that the "Gods" or Goddesses" that you believe in are real so I think that it all comes down to this that man will never be able to fathom the the existence of GOD

God created the Universe and the earth. He is not bound by our earthly laws, yet people constantly try and put our laws on God and say He couldn't do this or that. God is God and He can do what ever He pleases. He doesn't live with our limitations. Is that so very hard to understand? Another thing, how do you make something from nothing? These Atheist don't believe in God and say this or that is impossible. Is making something from nothing impossible? How did this Universe get here without God?

The reason for speculation about the nature of God is to define who we are in terms fo a God that we might believe exists.
Religion doesn't cause wars; it is merely an excuse. We are not in Iraq because of religion. Ireland and England aren't about religion. Even Israel and Palestine aren't about religion. It's about land, about who will rule, taxes, greed and such.
Talking about religion isn't a bad thing. It helps us figure out our own place in the world or the universe. Belief in God or not doesn't really matter; it's what we do with that, and how we treat people that really counts.

I think people put labels on God to attempt to reduce the idea of infinity to a nice bite-sized chunk. We don't really want a God that is infinite, because we can't really take in the idea of infinity. In mystical experience, when the boundaries of self are transcended, we become one with the infinite and the universality of God and unity of humanity becomes a very real experience.
Religions tend to try to define God, and limit God and make God comprehensible.
That's rather like expecting a parrot to understand quantum mechanics.

Speculation or not, using the term "ignorant fools" does not engender trust and peaceful feelings. Everyone wants peace...but peace according to who? You apparently wouldn't trust the ignorant fools to define peace.

God loves ya, and loves this world. People argue because
"God put eternity on the heart of every man"
Everyone is trying to figure out what their purpose in life is, if you think your is to ignore your heart, then I hope you see the Light before its to late...

What if I were told you that a Muslim's view of world peace is to convert you or kill you along with all other infidels that refuse to submit to Islam?
Is that the world peace you seek for?

I don't want to pop your bubble, but I have a relationship with Him, so I DO know He exists. I can say that emphatically. World peace sounds lovely, but highly improbable, sweetie. Worth our best efforts, however.
