What are the goals of militant Islamic fundamentalists today, like Osama bin Laden?

Their goals are not islamic--they are political. They dont hate the west because it is non-muslim, they hate it because they feel that it is their enemy. No one would understand if Osama went and attacked China or some other country even though they are nonmuslim but an attack at the west is different. Because their hate is not religion-based. I think its about power. Osama was not a fundamentalists because he followed none of the fundamentals of Islam.

To kill anyone like them. And really it isn't the militant ones. All muslims that are true to the Koran are to be like Bin Laden. An evil muslim to us is a good muslim to their Allah.
