Why do you think that the Bible says the number is "666" and not a different number. What is the significance of that particular number as the mark of the beast?

The book of Revelation is full of symbolisms that represents the world's power and corruption in government. The number 666 refers to the number of a man which will have rule over the entire world and he will give all of mankind a number to conduct all business whatsoever it may be. the number will be used for everything. You will be known by this number. To put it in simpler terms, there is going to be a man who has influence in government who will be able to pass a law that you must have this number. It isn't actually 666, but a number system that the world will make mandatory. If you refuse this number, you will be punished by the government.
