Sometimes when I'm having lunch with a friend at our company's cafeteria, and when we're almost done, another friend or even my boss comes down to sit with us and start eating. Since I have already finished eating, would it be rude of me to get up and leave? I really don't want to sit around watching another person eat, and it's hard to talk since I am not eating and he/she is eating and talking.

Not at all. Just politely excuse yourself, say that you are finished, wish them a pleasant lunch break and leave.

A cafeteria lunch at work doesn't carry the same social status as an invited get together somewhere else. Excuse yourself, perhaps saying you have things to do before getting back to work. No one will think a thing of it. If the boss wants to talk with you, do it when you are being paid so that shouldn't be a problem either.

I've never considered leaving the table when finished eating in a workplace setting to be rude.
After all you are at work, not a social gathering. Just say something, well back to the grindstone or anything like that to excuse yourself.

Try to eat breakfast, and eat lunch on the same schedule with your colleagues.

Although your eating habits can't really be held against you, try your best to run with the 'pack'. That's when a lot of frank, efficient 'shop talk' goes on. You'll probably find that it's an easy way to slightly further your career, as dumb as it sounds.

No it's not rude. Say something like, "I will see all of you later". It would be rude to just get up and walk away without a word. It might send a message that the person who arrived late is unwelcome and you may not wish to convey that sentiment.

Not at all. Just excuse yourself and leave after a couple of minutes. That way you are being social but polite at the same time.

Well, stay for about 3 minutes and then excuse yourself. Say "okay, enjoy your lunch, I have to go".
