Hi Jeremy,

I had no idea what this flower was, so I did an image search. My reaction-hey, these are cool. I would really like it if a person I liked gave one to me. In fact, I am going to make one tomorrow for my fiance. He gave me two potted orchids, which I love, and since I do not work, and cannot afford to buy him flowers, I think I will make him an origami flower and put it on his pillow.
You are lucky that someone took the time to make you something for V-Day...it meant it came from that person´s heart.

Speaking from experience as someone who makes origami roses on a regular basis, I have to say that more than anything else it depends *entirely* on the personality of the girl in question. Some people get all giddy when a paper rose is presented to them, others could care less. One person told me that my rose instructions saved his marriage... My guess is that once he showed he could put some thought and effort into something that they were able to work it out. I once made an origami iris for someone named Iris.. She loved it. My wife, on the other hand, has hardly any interest in what I can do with a sheet of paper - and it's not just because we've been married for a while and it wouldn't mean as much coming from me... She never has had much interest in it. When it comes right down to it, the time and thought and effort you put into the gift perhaps counts more than the gift itself... there are a few exceptions, of course, but in general an origami flower is an excellent and inexpensive way to impress the ladies. Just don't let that be the only thing you have... back it up with a good personality and a little charm, and remember that you can't please everyone.

Firstly, I would be absolutely elated by the simple discovery that someone liked me. Secondly, I would view the flower as a work of art, whether or not this was true. If someone liked me enough to go to the trouble of making an origami flower for me, that flower would be beautiful in my eyes whether or not it was perfectly crafted.

I'd love it, because paper flowers do not die. I'd wonder about how the person who gave me the flower felt about me because that take time and effort. Either way, I'd be grateful that someone would do that for me, and would get them something or send them a thank-you card.

I would appreciate the fact that someone took the time to make me something, rather than buying a gift. I think it's lovely !

I'd think it was nice and that the person that gave it to me had a knack for folding paper.

I would take as a romantic, not friendly gesture so I would not recommed sending one to a girl you weren't interested it.

Awww...that is adorable!
They spend much time on it, and did not go the easy way and buy something....This means more than another present
