well it might help if you leave it treats before you leave. Something healthy that you can give it regularly without it getting sick. Also if you are going away for long periods of time, maybe pay someone to come in a check on the dog, and just give it some attention. It may just be that your puppy likes having company. If neither of these work, then the only thing I can say is that your dog will probably get used to you leaving. If you just got this dog, it may not be used to being left alone, just give him/her some time. And last, just make sure that nothing is physicaly wrong with your dog, because it could be barking and whining because it needs help, but i don't know. I hope this helps!

Dogs especially like a place they can call "home"
Often caging the dog will break it of nasty habits. A small cage, just large enough for the dog to turn around inside and lie down may give it a sense of comfort. I recommend a trial run by putting the dog inside and going to another room and waiting to see what happens. If it cries/whines, go back into the room and give verbal commands indicating your disappointment. Repetition and love will win out, just make time to do a little training.

Give the dog toys, if this does not work you may have to get a bark collar to help prevent this constant barking (unless you have no neighbors within earshot). Is it possible to get your dog a second companion? Another dog for company? Your dog is simply acting out his anxiety at being left alone.

The best thing to do is to leave something (like one of your tshirts) with him/her in the cage/crate. Eventually the dog will get used to it. The worst thing you can do is take the pup out when it whines as it will learn that works.

I read in a pet magazine that a good thing to do is to make a treat bag for him every time you leave. basically you super wrap up yummy treats in paper and put it all into one big bag and seal it and it will keep him busy for hours, or just get one of those treat puzzle things from a pet store those are less messy than the bag.

You can purchase a citronella collar (it is not harmfull) that trains your dog into not barking, when he barks the spray will go near his face and he wont like it i have one for my dog and its the best thing i have ever done - i purchased mine from www.petequip.com.au for 229.95 the abs one. its the most popular one to get and is cheaper than most petshops as they all go around this price

you cant really do anything, this means that the dog loves you doesnt want you to leave alone, he probably thinks you will get hurt or wont come back. a lot of dogs do this when they want to show affection for there owners
