Don't get dial-up. Sure its only $5.00 a month. But really they shouldn't charge that much. It barley gets you connected to the Internet. If you want to watch movies or little sound clip you have to wait a while for it to download. Go with the cable or DSL or whatever you want to get, its much faster and these days with all the videos and sound and large web pages out there you need something that can handle it. I know that i would NEVER give up my broadband...even if dial up was free.

Dial-up is awful. An example is: downloading a song with dial up (56k modem) takes about a half hour, where as having dsl or cable modem takes at most a minute. And that applies to everything, such as games, it takes entirely too long for them to load and you get a lot of lag. Trust me the extra $25 per month is definately worth it...with dial-up you just end up with a stress headache from being all irrated with it lol.

If you can afford broadband go for it. You wont regret it. But It really depends on what your using the internet for. Dialup just all around sucks unless you like waiting for pages to load or waiting 2 or more days for a 100 meg file to download. You would be frustrated trying to watch online movies or videos with dialup. On the other hand if your on a budget you know what you can afford.

dial up is slower than s.h.i.t., honestly. it is pathetically slow. it is ridiculously slow. i couldn't imagine living with dial up again now that i've had cable for 3 years and i just got dsl when i got my new laptop. dial up is pathetic, and it does take like 5 minutes to load pages. to view videos on youtube with dial up, it would probably take like half an hour to load the videos. they sometimes take a while to load on broadband. sure broadband is more expensive than dial up, but it is worth it in every way. don't waste valuable minutes of your life even with thinking about dial up. just go for broadband. you'll not regret it. i recommend att yahoo dsl, if you can get it in your area.

It is really as bad! You can't YouTube because you can't download without bandwidth and dial up doesn't have it. It's only good for basic surfing, bank account checking and that kinda stuff. I mean, if you bought a computer then get the broadband.

No. I am not satisfied with dial-up. It's really very tiring most especially when you download songs, music videos and the like.

Seriously, If you want to use youtube. Get broadband. The difference is amazing and I know for sure that the amount I use the computer makes the price of broadband an absolute bargain.
