Children of the partners. Everyone whose insurance getes dropped by their employers because they will have to insure gay partners and that would add to the already high costs of providing insurance and gay couples would have to be treated the same as normal families or no one can be insured by the employer. The world suffers because morals then become a slippery slope and pretty soon we would be considered "intolerant" for not allowing polygamy, pedophilia, animal sex etc. because they are consenting humans.

In a nutshell, we all suffer.

Our culture and society. It is based on family as its core structure and this along with divorce and things like men who abandon their responsibility to raise their children ruin the fabric or our society. This is the foundation on which the rest sets. It is why so many things are breaking down as we turn from a family oriented society to individualistic. From those strong family ties and responsibilities to -just leave me alone, I can do what ever I want- I believe divorce to have been the big start of this and gender disorientation as one result of it. Many of today's children have no male role model and so are confused. What many refuse to acknowledge is it is causing much pain for many of these young people when they grow up as they have not been told the truth and so they engage in homosexuality only later to have their lives messed up. It is not normal for same genders to engage in sex and that can not be denied. All history and every civilization testifies to this truth.

Nobody else. That's why the gay marriage debate is so fascinating to watch. I just can't get over the fact that so many people are willing to work so hard to stop something that doesn't affect them in the least.
