"Lately I have been very tempted to rejoin my old religion." OK, I understand.
"However I still don't believe Christ was divine, and I'm not even sure if he was real." - Whoops you lost me! Is there some reason you are avoiding GOD, because of some history facts and CSI evidence problem? Worship GOD directly, then you can avoid most of humanities problems. Focus your faith, and thankfulness directly to GOD, since GOD is gifting you with your life and blessings, helping you through any trials, wouldn't this seem fair.
You must be related to Doubting Thomas? (Sorry - you must hear that every time you talk about GOD.)
Well there is no CSI evidence, there is no hard proof, it's been 2000+ years and corrupt humans and very good humans keeping the faith alive, the evidence is gone.
I'm not helping GOD, here, maybe I better close by saying that GOD is in your corner no matter what you choose. Humans may not understand you fully but I know GOD does.
I hope you are at peace, and have a great life.

Ever heard of Flavius Josephus? He was a 1st Century Jewish historian from the Roman Empire, that is, from about the time and place that Jesus actually lived. Yet, he was Jewish, not a Christian. His historical writings do talk about Jesus existing.
Jesus lived, that is a historically proven fact even if you don't believe the Bible.
As for his death and resurrection, look at his disciples. 10 out of the 11 disciples (the 12th, Judas, isn't counted) who knew Jesus, witnessed his life and death, also believed in his resurrection enough that they ended up dying for that belief. If Jesus didn't get raised from the dead, they would have known it. And if He didn't get raised (since the whole gospel was based on the ressurrection) they wouldn't have given their lives away for the Christian cause.
What I've said above is only the tip of the iceburg... there is so much more to it then all that if you dig deeper.
Plus there is the old saying that "the proof is in the pudding". I am an analytical skeptic, but I believe that Jesus Christ is what the Bible says He is, and did what the Bible said He did. I believe the Bible is God's eternal word. I didn't come to that conclusion through careful analysis, but through an encounter with the living God. Only later was I able to go back and, through analysis, learn even more to solidify what I already believed.
In other words, you have to take God at His word. People take the word of friends and family, and God is more trustworthy than both.
I hope this helps (I know, kinda lengthy). God bless!

If you want to know whether Christ was divine whether the Bible is Gods word and more then I would take up Moroni's challenge
Moroni 10:3-5
3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.

I cannot provide you with proof only experience. I cannot tell you to rejoin Christianity either even though I am a Christian.
What I can tell you is God is real and his son was sent to earth to pay for your sins so you don't have to. If you want proof, seek and ye shall find, knock and the door will be opened to you.
Ask that God forgive you of your sins. Ask him to reveal himself to you.
I like the Jabez prayer:
"Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!"
its powerful. Prayer is powerful. Thank him for your salvation and he will make himself known to you. Read the Bible and ask for understanding.
God Bless

Sounds more like you're looking for a faith and are lost without one. You're thinking about rejoining christianity because it's the only thing you really know about.

You want proof which only God can give you. Jesus Christ is real and His Holy Spirit resides within a believer. Seek God, read His word, and ask Him into your heart. Peace.
