It is very possible to retrieve files that have been deleted. Deletion really only removes the marks for the file on the hard drive, not the physical file itself.
If you no longer have the file in your recycle bin, you can use a software program like Fast File Undelete, Smart Undelete, or others to retrieve it.
Good Luck

There are some programs out there that can do this. Sorry can't remember any names right now. Look on download.com.
However, this is only possible if the space on the hard drive that the file occupied has not been written over yet.

well i dont know how but it is possible, because when you give or sell a computer, they always recommend to wipe your hard drive because even if you did erase a file, people can still retrieve the file

you can get a program for data recovery, they will recover data that has evan after a format, as long as it has not been written over.
try "get back data" or "recover my files"
or google search "data recovery" and find one that you like.
