"he won't look me in the eye when he talks" I think he does this because I think that he thinks "How could such a great girl like her care a thing for someone like me".
"he helped me with something in math today" If a guy likes you, he will help you with something, if he knows what you need help with. (I'm an aspiring opera singer, and my worst language is German. I constantly need help getting the pronunciation correct on words. This guy I know liked me and just so happened to take German. He volunteered to help me!)
"caught him looking three times today" This same guy who takes German said that whenever a guy looks at a girl a lot, he is obsessed with her.

maybe or maybe he is trying to be nice probably if you know him for a long time or short he likes how you look and how you act.He will probably try to find out more about you so if you think you like him just ask him something and see how he responses to it
