Okay, so I highlighted my hair on Valentines Day and didn`t get my hair wet that day in the shower (from previous experts telling me it would wash out instantly). Today after I soaked my hair for the washing process some of the dye came out. Is that normal or am I just freaking out? Is there a specific period of time I have to wait before washing my hair? Oh, they`re copper highlights by the way (they looks really orange-red-ish..)

I went to a salon to get them done.
I also never really got the chance to use a color-treated shampoo (herbal essence..) since the dye came out before i applied it. There`s still some in the back, but it`s kinda faded/wash out.

They should not be coming out at all this soon. You did wait a long enough time.. so I don't know what's going on.

If you did them at home on yourself, what else did you expect? Paying about ten bucks for a box of highlighting stuff is obviously not as good as going to have it professionally done with high quality dyes. I never reccommend doing it yourself despite how much hair coloring experience you have (unless you are a trained professional) because even people who are trained usually have someone else do it for them. I would go to a hair dresser by you and have them correct it for you if it keeps fading.. which I'm sure it will.

If you did have it professionally done, if it keeps fading and washing out, I would go back to the place where you had it done and have them correct it. It should NOT be fading or washing out at this point in time.

Well to be honest with you , why don't you do it yourself ? I do mine and i have no problems .. I wash my hair almost everyday and it doesn't affect the colour . !
Oh and yes it is normal for some of the dye to come out , possibly for a few days after .. If it was a home dye if you are worried just use the colour protect conditioner that came with it

copper and red colours are the hardest to keep in the hair as the molecules in the colours are so big!(a little bit scientific i know) they will fade alot to start ,use a shampoo for reds and coppers jonh freida has a great one. the more you get the colour done the longer it will stay, but dont worry it is normal!!!

hi in case you want the more beneficial blonde look you need to bypass again to the salon and ask this time to have thick streaks of blonde. they could do the streaks any thickness you want this kind. whenever you've it done they could upload more beneficial so ultimately it is going to likely be fairly blonde! Or have a throughout dye yet then this may be one immediately colour! or you need to ask for a throughout dye and then have darker blonde streaks put in. It relies upon fairly on what you want and how a lot money you need to spend. Your new hair thou would improve on you in time thou. It sounds impressive! :) x
