Dane Cook claims that guys go to clubs to pick up girls...which I believe is true. However, he also said that girls go there just to get in a big circle and dance with their friends with no intention of meeting anyone. Is this true?

Yeah right. NO it is not true. In my clubbing days (long gone) I spent an average of 2-3 hours getting ready...long bubble baths, painting finger nails, hair, make-up, expensive perfume, designer dresses, etc. I always got ready with other girl friends and that is probably why it took so long, but if you think I went through all that to dance with them you have another think coming! SOMEBODY HAD BETTER NOTICE ME and fortunately they always did.
Maybe it it a cultural thing. I'm African-American and I've never seen African-American women dancing together at a straight club.

If a girl wants to meet someone she will be looking for him everywhere she goes. I used to go to the clubs a lot and was there to dance and have fun - it seemed to me most of the other girls were there for the same thing - though there are always exceptions to the rule.

A lot of the time this is very true. We just want to go loosen up, and have a great time and party. It is all a part of having fun and relaxing all at the same time. Just like guys after a had day at work, we need time for ourselves to unwind and let our hair down and party.

Yeahh sometimes. I go to clubs with my friends with no intention of ever hooking up with guys there. I just like to have a good night out with my friends.

yes not always.. there is girls who go to get guys Oslo.. there is girls who just want to have fun.. meeting new Friends dance.. drink... sometime u will see group of girls that dancing together or drinking together... some people thing there lesbians.. witch is not always true.. for me I have a BF.. but he always busy.. so I go to the club with my girls Friends.... just to have fun and dance...

I doubt it. Girls go to clubs to be seen because they want to be like Paris Hilton or B. Spears. They want attention and to be looked at and lusted after. If all the people who lusted after them disappeared from the earth the girls would stay at home and eat. Dancing would cut into their eating time.

I don't go to the clubs... I may go when I hit 21 to drink and dance and have a good time, that's the only reason why I'd actually go to one.
