okay so i have never actually done the whole just go out on dates thing and have no official names for eachother (boyfriend and girlfriend). I have always been in relationships...where I was committed and could say "this is my boyfriend..."
well i just started dating this guy and we have been dating for about a month. we have so much fun together and we aren't boyfriend and girlfriend.. we are just dating. it seems really weird for me because like i said, i haven't actually just dated someone. he always tells me how much he lieks me and he asked me to go to his prom with him. he tells me he is crazy about me etc. but its really weird because i dont know really how to just be crazy about someone without being their girlfriend. has anyone ever like gotten married out of just dating someone and not having the official "boyfriend/girlfriend" status? Or are me and him just dating becuase he doesn't want a gf or something? Are people supposed to JUST date and not be boyfriend/girlfriend?

Most people that "just date" are people that dont' want to commit to it so that they can always have an out to be with someone else. If you dont' want to commit, then be honest with him, but most normal people want an exclusive relationship.
Don't be immature and get into semantics. There are no rules in dating, but if you think he's going to stick around without a commitment, then get a clue because it aint happening. While your worried about your wording of the word dating, he'll be with someone else. Grow up tiny one.

um hun unless you're in an open relationship thats kindof boyfriend/girlfriend. osmetimes they dont tell u officially "hey ur my gf" cuz they think its obvious. but from the way it sounds you already are. esp if you're both exclusively dating each other.

its obivious..when u date after a while and u keep taking the relationship further, it sounds to me that u need to hear him say that u are his girlfriend

Sure. you can date if you want to with out having a boyfriend.There is no problem with that.
