I think the Devil is a complex subject.
the Devil (after doing a bit of reading about this last June sixth month of the sixth year and all) doesn't have to be a being- it can be a concept too.
it is normally referred to any act that is not adhering to "good conduct" there for is something bad happens it is not an act of the devil.
if someone DOES something "bad" it might be considered so.
if you believe in the "devil" or that people have to behave in a certain manner fitting a certain set of rules.
hope this makes sense.
just my thoughts is all
good luck with your devil :-)
and yeah, lol, people like having someone to blame, always.
that is away to be irresponsible. blame god. blame the devil- blame the woman next door :-P

There is the Devil, Satan and I sure do believe that!!!
But, I don't believe IN the Devil, I only believe IN Yahweh God.
Satan blinds the minds of the unbelievers of God so that they have no faith that God is the Creator and that He loves us.

I agree. Replace "blame" with "petition," and you've got God.
But I really have to laugh at the guy who said this: "Coward. Can't accept responsibility for your own actions. You don't believe in the devil? One of his greatest tricks is to get people to not believe he exists. He suckered you already."
Can't accept responsibility for her own actions because she DOESN'T believe she's been "suckered" by the devil? LOL...you people. You're always good for a chuckle.

I have never believed in the devil, it just seems silly. I do believe in God. We all have free will and when we do bad things, it is because we want to, not because some guy called the devil made us do it.

I agree with you. About the devil anyway (not so sure about god). fear of punishment is a powerful mechanism of control by one human on another.

no you're right people do bad things and need to take responsibility instead of saying satan did it or satan made me do it because satan doesn't actually take you by the hand and make you do anything i think what they are trying to say is that satan tempted them into doing something bad but they don't know how to phrase it

Oh, no-dear.
He breathes down your neck.
EVERYthing that you think of---if it is not GOOD, it is straight from the devil.
Only GOD is good and only good comes from Him.
If the devil is NOT bothering YOU--then you are not bothering him----which means you aren't doing anything good.
He WANTS us to be selfish, but when you start doing for others, he will DEFINITELY breathe down your neck--trying to lead you astray with NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AND NEGATIVE THINKING.
that's WHAT he does---only BAD.
