Parents have lived and made mistakes and it is just more easy for them to see the pattern of actions that will lead to a mistake. Annoying yes but sometimes it is wise to follow advise from those that have lived it and know what they are talking about.

This may be an annoying concept, but its also a usually true one.

Parents are only trying to use thier mistakes as examples, so you DON'T make the same mistakes. Its life experience that is very good to have.

You could have it worse. You could not have any parents to teach you things such as this. Then where would you be?

I think it's more of a fear that we'll make mistakes like they did. Every parent wants their child to be an angel, or close to one. It is annoying, but it's also for our best interest.

It's human nature. Everyone makes similar mistakes and everyone has similar regrets.

Learn from your mistakes and those of your parents. That way you will make fewer and less dramatic mistakes in the future.

The fact is, they wan't to protect you but can't; however, they love you so they will never stop trying.

Welcome to the human race kiddo.

Isn't it kinda assinine for you to think that you won't make mistakes? It's hard to watch someone you love doing the same things you did and it came to pass that the same consequences occur.

If you touch a flame, you will burn yourself.
If you run near the pool, you will fall and scrape yourself.
If you hang out with boys and do drugs you will get pregnant and be alone.

Word to the wise, learn from others mistakes, it will save you time and pain.

We can try to please them as possible as we can... never be angry so both will not be affected that much
