some guys think its awkward to date a ex again. or some things changed? or maybe he thought it was for the better to be friends anyway.

Could be because he's decided he just wants to be friends with you and not in a relationship. That's not so bad, though. If you really like him think of how lucky you are to have him in your life and just enjoy it. Besides, some of the best relationships have evolved over time from friendships. My husband and I were "best friends" for a couple of years before I finally agreed to go out with him. Now, we've been married for almost 14 years. Be patient and just enjoy what you have with him!!!!

maybe he just wants to be your friends. i know that supposedly guys can't be friends with girls but thats not true. maybe he realized he doesn't like you romantically but does like you as a friend
