I woke up this morning and I fliped the covers over to get up and ready for school, and I noticed on my Doberman, Hammer, a Large lump on his back. And it didnt bother him becuase he was still sleeping on my bed. But i touched it and could put my hand around it comfortably ( im 15, so my hand isnt that big, roughly the width side of the keyboard long) and put a little pressure on it, and it hurt him. He turned around and moved my hand with his nose. I called my mom and she came over and looked at it, and she didnt know what it was either. Well when i got home from school I took a look at it and noticed it was a bit smaller and It looked like a long lump the size of a squished lemon, and on top, a smaller longish lump the size of a peanut And i guess some of it spread and it went toward his lower stomach, right below it and now its all jiggley and saggy. like theres water in it. . She told me she had iced it and it went down a little, but it went back up, and got a little bit bigger but i dont know what it is? I think either a welt, bite, or My most WORST fear, a tumor. It wasent like that yesterday? I did make an appointment tomorrow at 8, but im scared? what do u think it is? Also, If this helps, saterday, He knocked into the coffee table and my moms vase which weighes about 8-9 puonds fell right in the area where the lump is. but he didnt really yelp? and if it it was the vase, Why would that lump appear now? Also im going to give him a bath, and ice ithe lump, do you think that would help? also im going to try ebisons salt, would it work? Please help me. Its hard to breathe to even think its a tumor, im really scared. I love him so much, he sleeps eats and plays with me 24/7. And if it is a tumor, what would happen?

Take him to the vet and let them diagnose him.
If it is a tumor or cyst it will probably be an easy fix
in the location that it is in if it is none cancer.
Hope this helps

If he had an accident before the lump appeared it's probably just a bruise. My dogs fight sometimes and get those lumps, it's just like a bruise for us, they show up later. If it is a tumor it could just be a fatty tumor, which is uncomfortable, but it won't be fatal. they can be removed sometimes depending on where they are. If it stays a while and it's squishy then it's just fatty, so check for the squishy. If you have a vet appointment though, they'll tell you what's wrong sooner than I can.

That happened to a puppy sharpei I had. I worked at the hospitol and I knew it was a spider bite. I gave the dog a penicillin shot and when it popped I disinfected the area and packed it. I changed the gauzes which were soaked in peroxide frequently. You are better off taking the dog to the vet though. Make sure it's not something worse that could harm your dog give your dog a bad rection.
