Visiting my original home in Hawaii. There's a cave off of the beach where you can sit and just watch the ocean ... and the sound of the waves bounces off the cave walls and just bellows in your ears. Its all you can hear, like it even drowns out your thoughts. Sitting there, watching night approach, with the pounding of the waves completely taking over your consciousness ... if there was anything that could come close to making me think there was intelligent design, it would be that place.
Edit~Btw, I got a huge box of used books as a gift for V-day, (b/c I lost alot of my books in a fire, but that's a long story) and I got a "new" copy of The Lurker At The Threshold, and it made me think of you. :)

For me personally, I acquired my aesthetic leanings from the Catholic Church. I'm talking about the actual art inside the church. Catholic art and music can be incredible at times. As a little kid, I'd sit there looking at the huge altarpiece built by European craftsmen and the beautiful vaulted ceilings, not to mention the fantastic pipe organ music, and I would feel nearly overwhelmed by a sense of beauty. Of course, I also feel moved by nature, and many other things, but I personally have a deep aesthetic link with the Catholic Church. It was my earliest introduction to true artistic excellence.

Good music (classical, opera, jazz, etc) and poetry, for the most part.
