You may eat the rind but there's no rule that says you have to. You may choose not to.

I have a friend who buys brie cheese in containers where there isn't any rind.

But, I believe the French (where brie originates from) usually eat the rind.

It's all a matter of your personal taste. Some people like the rind and say it enhances the taste and texture of the cheese. Some people don't. It's all what you prefer.

You sure can alot of people like it, I only like it when the brie is warm, it has a nicer texture and flavor in my oppinion. Then again I only really ever eat brie when it has been warmed with cranberry sauce, sambal and honey (sambal is a chili sauce), or with roasted garlic and lemon. Yummy!

It's up to you. Some people don't like it, but I kinda do. It's not wax or anything and it's going to harm you.

You're not "supposed" to. You CAN, some do, I don't care for it myself. It won't hurt you. I can have a little of it, but generally I avoid it.

You can, but it's your choice. I like it, but it's not everyone's cup of tea.
