What is the best way to acheive light brown/caramel highlights on Brown hair?

Please don't suggest going to a Pro, i'm capable of doing my self.

Would using a lighter brown with a level 30 devolper work? Thanks

use an ash hair color and PLEASE dont use a blond dye... My hair is naturally dark brown and I wanted light brown hair so I tried using a blond box knowing that it would not be blond. It came out pumpkin orange. If you dont want to go to a salon to get it done call and ask what shades to use. They should tell you what will help.

i know you don't want to hear it , but go to a pro. otherwise, the only way to get lighter highlights in brown hair is to bleach the strips that you want lighter...then you have to go over with the caramel color you want. my hair dresser has to do it in two stages because my hair is very dark brown.

if you have blonde hair it will naturally get bleached by the actual sun in the summer. There had been this guy in my class who also had golden blonde hair that had been a medium brown near the base. When he came back to school after summer vacation, it was practically platinum blonde!

Jet black hair. I have really dark brown hair and I consider dark hair looks better. I may really like blonde hair.
