I just want to know how long dos it take for me to get a visa to enter china. I live in the USA. What steps I need to take to get one and how long dos it take for someone in the USA to get a visa to china

It doesn't take very long, but you have to be sure to fill out the paperwork correctly. Here is the official site:

Also, you have to show up in person, or have an authorized representative do it, at an official site. There aren't very many. I know of one in LA, San Fran, Houston, New York, and Chicago, but there may be others. Depending on where you live it migh tbe easier to go through a service. This is the one I used:

The services have an extra charge, but it might be worth it depending on where you live. The websites give good information on how to fill out the forms and what you need to send to them.

It took me three weeks to gt my VISA, but then you can also have it expedited to one week for, of course, another charge.

My friend is going to China in May and he got his VISA in about 2 weeks, but he went through a service or something that was supposed to help speed up the process.

FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE YOU CAN THE THE vISA THE SAME DAY. IF YOU GO TO CHINA NOW THE AIR FARE IS MUSCH LESS THAN IT WILL BE IN THE SUMMER. I HAVE ALREAD PURCHASED 3 CHINA VISAS IN THE L;AST 9 MONTHS. ALWAYS RECIEVED MY VISA THE AME DAY. YOU CAN GO TO THE CHINA EMBASSY WEBSITE AND DOWNLOAD AN APPLICATION AND GET THE ENTIRE INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING.
