I was playing in a home game tournament with about 7 people, no limit hold em. I'd say 4 of those players were pretty much donkeys. They'd call with any two cards, especially if they had a face card or an ace. Should I have approached the table aggressively or super tight?? I would get called with almost any amount I bet out, even if odds were completely in my favor and get busted because they get lucky with the board. What approach should one take with this kind of table???

Well, it depend on a lot of thing: Your poker skill, your chips stack...., etc. But the basic, correct style is TA, Tight Aggresive. Make them pay when you have the best of it.

Take care

In general, I would advocate Tight-Aggressive play, with one modification that I will mention below. At the outset, you want to cultivate a table image of someone who only plays quality cards and shows down hands that win, instead of, to paraphrase Will Rogers, never seeing two cards you didn't like. That will help preserve your bankroll and increase your odds of winning when you do get involved. If you can build up your chip stack to the point where you can take some risks and if you have successfully cultivated a Tight-Aggressive image, then you can consider playing some marginal or weak hands in good position. If you can get into a flop for cheap, then the risk invoved in your strategy will be minimized -- if you make the flop you bet it, if not you fold until the next time around.

i've played in a couple of games like that. What I learned was to play real tight, and jam the pot when I have a good hand. Top pair and top kicker is not always good enough because they could have two pair at any time. If you have the nuts, go all in and you will probably get called. It's hard to put them on a hand because they may think that bottom pair is a great hand. They generally don't know what a raise means, so just play tight and be agressive when you have the best of it.

You have to let them hang themselves. I just let them have small pot, after small pot to set up a big pot later on. i like to check and let them bluff me off my hand for small pots and when i flop a big hand i just check and then on the end i drop the hammer on them and try and get all there chips at once. Donkeys don't respect chip size or position at all, so you must have a hand to play with these idiots, just wait and then drop the hammer on them with the good ones.
