Why don't people just read the Bible????

I am actually interested in reading a copy of the Quran, though I shall not convert. It's merely to learn about the other religion. There's no harm in that, is there?

I think of the Quran about the same as I do the book of Mormon. It's a change in God's Holy Word to fit mans means and values instead of God's. That is why I don't read the Quran or the book of Mormon or the Jehovah Witness books. I've read all the fantasy books I care to read when I was in elementary school.

I have studied the Quran in a 400 level college class before along with research ever since. I found Islam to be a very dogmatic, ungodly, oppressive, violent, chauvinistic, arab, dishonest, anti-Christ, anti-socialist, facist, rigid, unhealthy, unbeneficial religion.
Quran Surah IX:29 Fight against such of those who have been given the scripture (Christians and Jews) as believe not in Allah nor the last day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by his messenger, and follow not the religion of truth until they pay the tribute readily being brought low.
In the Qur'an 47:4, it says, "When you encounter the infidels, strike off their heads till you've made a great smote among them." And again, 2:193, "Fight therefore against them until the only worship be that of Allah."
That is really the defining characteristic of the Quran and Muhammads life itself; IT INCITES VIOLENCE. It teaches that violence and oppression against people that dont believe as you is a good and holy thing. That is why, sad to say, that most Muslims turn a blind eye to violence or secretly root for people like Osama Bin Ladin because they are committing the acts of violence their religion calls for but they themselves are not willing to do, especially after tasting of the prosperity of western civilization.

I am discordian, but interested in sufism. Most people don't care about objective reality, and even if they did they would ignore the facts and hate your faith. I apologize on behalf of America.

some ppl dont believe in Islam, i think its wrong to make ppl follow seomthing they dont believe in. dont judge them because they dont agree with you.
btw i am a Muslim, and ppl dont stereotype you because of your religion, well some ppl do, but those who might not like you, might not like that you are judgemental.

Every one knows that muslim prays to one god and his messenger is moahmmed.
I dont find it intresting enough to read.
