Can it be deleted from a folder once you have installed it, and stil work?

As long as it is in the windows font folder you can delete any other copies.
c:/windows/fonts

If you added the font to Windows the proper way, it should have prompted you if you wanted to copy it to the Windows/fonts folder. If it copied it from a different directory than the fonts folder then you can delete it. Just don't delete it from the fonts folder in Windows.

The fonts are saved in :\windows\fonts
if you delete it from this folder you can't use it anymore. If you have it someplace else and you install it - then you can delete it from the original location as it is saved in fonts folder.
