Will she have the time to tend to it? A puppy is a big commitment. Training it to be housebroken, picking up after the pup, playing with it, feeding it, doggy proofing the cabinets, cleaners, etc., monitoring it when it's playing w/ dog toys/ treats so they won't choke on it, teaching it not to chew on furniture, or constantly bark at night. Please consider this.

If she wants a dog than yes that would be awesome. But make sure she wants the responsiblilty cause a pet is alot of work and time and attention, for years!

it really depends if she has the time and energy to take care of the puppy because they can be a handful and very messy. but it will be a really cute present!

I think it is. But I guess it would depend on whether or not she likes dogs. If she does like them, then it would definitely be a good present.
