My buddies and I are taking a trip to NYC to see a yankees game and we're wondering where to stay. Should we stay outside the city and take the train in? Or, Stay close to the stadium? We want to make it as simple as possible. Please give detailed info. Thanks

Yankee Stadium is in the Bronx, and staying in a hotel there would be good for the night of the game, but that's about it. There is not much to do in that area, and it is not particularly nice.

You would probably enjoy the visit more staying at a hotel in Manhattan and taking the subway up to the game. Then you can enjoy Manhattan and enjoy the game!

The trip from midtown Manhattan takes less than 25 minutes. The #4 train, as well as the B (weekdays only) and D trains make stops at 161st St./Yankee Stadium. The trains are very crowded with Yankee fans during game time, and will be very safe.

There are plenty of hotels right on the B/D line, which runs along 6th Avenue. Or you can stay on the East side and take the 4.
