I'm talking about just a normal physical. Not one for a job interview. I was wondering if he has to report a positive test, or if that is something he has to keep confidential?

ive never heard of them testing for drugs in a routine physical. thats an invasion of privacy unless it is for a probation officer, pregnancy, or a job related. you have a legal right to deny drug testing if its your doctor who's doing it. you have to have a legal reason to drug test anybody.

He must keep it confidential.

However, if you tell him that you are going to take some
more because they are legally required to report the
commission of a crime.

However, they can't say anything about past issues unless
it involves the abuse of a child or the elderly
or it indicates you're planning on committing suicide
or injuring yourself.

He has no legal responsibilites other than to keep your health status and all that it entails confidential. Without your permission he cannot share your health history or status with anyone.
