Sawyer has it correct, they believed God to be the one and only God, which He is to us, but the NT describes a God, Son, Holy Spirit relationship in the Trinity.
They were a monotheistic people, and we consider Christianity to be monotheistic as well, since we believe that God the Father is in total control over Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
The reason they did not accept Jesus as the Messiah, boils down to their belief that Jesus would be a deliverer like Moses, who would defeat the oppressors and set up his kingdom in Israel protecting them from any future aggressors.
In short, I think they were looking for a warrior Prince, and not a Messiah.

And yet Jews, Christians and Moslems all agree that the Lord God is ONE. Who exactly was God talking to? Sounds like God have a little multiple personality problem or there is more than one God. If the trinity is three in one...isn't God still talking to himself? (My mother used to say..."Its like this. I'm a mother, but I'm also a daughter and I'm also a wife...I'm three in one." But when mom starts talking to herself, we don't say...gee, that's the mother self talking to the daughter self. We just get her on anti depressants and anxiety stuff.)
No contradictions in the bible? I think you just found yet another one.

Ok.....the Holy Trinity includes Jesus....Jews do not accept Jesus as a prophet, saviour, or son of God.
The Torah also says that no prophet will change the Torah. By adding news books of rules, Jesus and Mohemad changed the Torah.
Neither Jesus or Mohamed fulfilled Torah prophecy for the saviour.
That is why we don't believe in the trinity.

Deuteronomy 6:4...
Hear, O Israel, the L-RD our G-d, the L-RD is one.
This Scripture teaches that G-d is singular.
The doctrine of Trinity teaches that G-d is plural.
Contradiction.
Is Scripture right, or doctrine?
G-d has many manifestations of himself, such as the burning bush, or the pillar of fire. Why don't Christians worship these demonstrations of G-d, as well? Why stop at only 3 when you can have so many more?
The whole point of G-d revealing Himself through & to the Jewish people was to show the World that G-d is different than other nations that worshipped a multiplicity of gods.

The Bible was written by men so this in itself is why Jews, and all other religions, atheists, and people in general debate the Bible and what verses mean to them and how literally they believe it.
They believe Jesus was a prophet but not the son of God.

God the Father is talking to his Son (the Word) that is where the plural OUR comes from. Polytheism is the teaching there.

Because Jews aren't Catholic. Paul was the first person to bring up a holy trinity, and he'd never met Jesus, and wasn't a jew himself, so they didn't believe him.

god was speaking to the firstborn of all creation. his angelic son who would later become jesus christ.the trinity has no basis if you really read the bible. in gethsemanie jesus prayed to his father and asked him to lift the cup from him. if they were a triun god why pray to himself. at jesus baptism the heavens opened up and god said this is my son the beloved one whom i have approved. if they were a trinity approval woudn't be necessary would it? jewish belief in god as a singal being is correct. satan who is misleading the entire inhabitted earth is the one spreading vicious lies about our father in the heavens. just open your bible and read it daily and you will find all the answers you want about god and his son.
