I need a total of 30 hours of community service for high school. The catch is I am only 13 years old and can only work on Saturdays from 2-5 p.m. Do you know where I can work at?

Animal shelters will let you volunteer with an adult present.

You can do community service with your local university or college. There are always several organizations that put on events, they always need extra help.

But the best way to do something is to find some help you can do at home. Go to an organization that you are interested in helping with and ask them if they have a project you can do at home.

Oh another thing you can do is something by yourself. You could collect food for the homeless (door to door), you could pick up trash in your local park, etc..

My children's high school had a program called "Adopt a Grandparent", they went and helped these "grandparents" by doing yard work, errands, etc. Perhaps your school would allow you to do something like this.
Also, you might be able to volunteer to help with a local youth sports team.
Whatever you choose, I hope you find it rewarding and learn from the experience. Best of luck!

Try at the library, your church, or look in your newspaper for your town to see if there's anything else.
