clinch those muscular butt cheeks together during the control questions. An example of a control question is "Is your name...." Then release your heart rate should go down during the deception based questions. This method creates a false base point and it may throw the technician for a loop. So polygraph machines have a butt plate to pick up on the clinching action. Drink some cough syrup before a polygraph and this will throw the tech off also. Is your lie detector test for a bodybuilding contest???They also drug test.

it is very easy to trip a lie detector. but to come out as not being evasive or deceptive is difficult. the detector doesent detect the lie, it detects the involentary actions of the human body when the person is telling lies. but those are the same reactions that occur when a person is nervious or is hidding something, not relating to the subject. thats why its not admissable in court. as for beating it, just learn how to slow down your heart rate and control your breathing so as not to appear nervious.

A polygraph DOES NOT detect deception. It detects physical reactions associated with deception. These reactions are also associated with nervousness. That is why the ask 'control' questions to determine the 'normal' reactions for the individual being tested. If your responses to these questions match your responses to the 'investigation' questions, your results are 'inconclusive'. If you are stone cold calm thoughout the test, you won't 'fail'. If you are a nervous wreck from the start, they won't be able to tell anything either.

You can't. It doesn't catch the lie. It catches the uncontrolled (the actions that take place in our brains and muscles) changes in our body that occur when we are being evasive or deceptive. Good luck. I will tell you that, in employment a polygraph is conducted for either two reasons, sometimes for both. Your employer is testing your integrity, your ability to be honest even about the bad. Your employer wants to know every stupid thing you've done so no one will blackmail you or bribe you, put you in a position where you will compromise your integrity or commitment to your professional responsibilities. Unless you are being polygraphed for a crime and you are in fact guilty, there really is no reason to lie.

You can't.
But a polygraph test only tell the investigator if you are being deceptive about something. It gives a measure of the degree of deceptiveness. It will not say if you are definitively lying or not.
The most important part of the polygraph test is usually the interview that precedes or follows it.
