Me and my girlfriend broke up after 5yrs of a relationship, went from loving me, can't live without me one week to not loving me at all two weeks later and ended things. she lived in las vegas I lived in california and we have a 3yr old son together. I'm confused as to what happened and why, all she gives me is excuses of all my mistakes that I've done over the past 5yrs and what I didnt do to nurture the relationship and that only makes me feel she left me for someone else even though she is sincere in words when she says it is NOT about anyone else but that she wants to focus on her new position at work, school and the kids. I have my feelings that she fell for someone but doesn't want me to know which I understand, you tend to avoid the least pain that you inflict on someone that you loved and as I told her the truth will always come out in the end and sooner or later I'll find out and I hope that she was being honest with me when I had my assumptions on why she left me.

Unfortunately, if someone is over you in two weeks after five years, she was probably done awhile ago. I'm not sure how old she is but sometimes when you get an idea in your head about how much your changing in your life you fall in love with the idea of what the future holds differently.

Sometimes things will end. Which sucks for sure. You just have to keep on living. Does it really change how you feel about it if its for another guy? It's going to suck for whatever reason. If it's meant to be it is meant to be.

Don't stop your life over it. I've made that mistake before..

Don't try to get her back. Yes she hurt you badly, but you need to set a good example for your son. It's not worth all of the pain and there are more people out in the world, even though you have been with her for five years and still love her, eventually you will move on. But revenge is not a good thing. Just keep your head up and do things you like to do to keep your mind off of her. Or you can try talking to her about what went wrong and so on. But if she doesn't want to talk, don't push yourself over the edge and make yourself mad, just brush it off and try to start something new.

aww I am sorry. I think you should show up where she works or lives or whatever with flowers and some stuff to try to make up to her and tell her you are sorry and ask if you all could start over..

you should tell her how you feel. do something out of the ordinary for her. surprise her with something you know she likes. be there for her. at least try for the sake of your three year old son. he needs both of you.
