Alzheimer's disease is what is most widely accepted. It's a pretty horrible way to watch a loved one go. Their mind and the person you remembered is gone, but their body is still alive. It's the one question you could have asked the blogbaba about Ronald Reagan that wouldn't have gotten a smart alec liberal retort.
Yeah, both Nancy and the blogbaba had a loved one go out that way, my heart goes out to the woman. Politics aside, I know a little about what she went through.
The most amazing and heartrending aspect of my experience with it was right at the end, with only about 15 or 20 seconds left after years of being unaware, my loved one's thoughts and mind cleared, and for a brief moment she was back. Then life faded from her eyes and she was gone.
I can't believe Ronald Reagan brought the blogbaba to the brink of tears after all this time.
