Scientists working on the Human genome project have found that approximately 90-95% of our DNA is apparent junk, useless sequences of what appear to be functional genes, but are not. they are called Pseudogenes.
If there is an Intelligent Designer, what is the purpose of creating us out of 90% junk DNA? thats an awful lot of garbage and waste for Intelligence to have created, dont you think?
One might also note that the bones of the human hand, the whale's fin and the bat's wing are nearly identical... Would an Omnipotent Intelligent Designer use recycled patterns? WHY??

The engineering errors made by the alleged "Intelligent" Designer are too numerous to mention. My favorite is the blind spot. Because of the way the eye evolved, nerves which connect to the rods and cones do so inside the eyeball, are grouped together, and exit the eyeball through the blind spot. Any nit wit could have figured out that if the nerves just attached to the back side of the rods and cones we wouldn't have a problem.

I can't answer the religious portion of the question but I can say that just because scientists say something doesn't make it true.
How long did we think the world was flat? How long did we think the sun revolved around the Earth? They are Just Now learning about genes, i'm sure that there is no way they can make these type of judgements. They might not even have all the information to make such judgements. And maybe they aren't supposed to figure these things out anyways. There is no way our DNA is junk, it is there for a reason, we just don't necessarily know what.

It is not a stretch to see and believe that God has used features and designs from other animals. Many animals have heads, is that so odd?
With regard to our DNA, I would like to see a speciman from BEFORE the fall and curses because I believe our DNA were more pure back then. We didnt get disease, we didnt age, and even just after the curses humans lived lifetimes over 500 years! So it is no surprise that we are finding weaknesses in our make-up. That is not to say that God is a faulty creator, but a very deliberate one. If we hadnt sin and had evil hearts, we could enjoy eternal life with God. Bot for now he have to be content to do Gods will in this less than perfect body which is still quite amazing by medical standards.

It's just their opinion that it's junk. At one time they had about 100 organs the body didn't "need", I'm guessing that today most of the organs have been found to have a use.
This is just evolutionist nonsense. Instead of trying to find real evidence to support their own theory, they use ridicule as a their standard scientific argument against other theories. What they don't realize is they weaken their own science and strengthen their competitors, they will end up with the ridiculous science, not their competitors.

This whole idea of ID is a farce. The fact is living beings might be physically complex, but they are not engineered very well for many reasons. If you were designing a person would you put useless junk in there? Doubt it.

The answer is so obvious that you can't see it. Its right under your nose. Scientists think that 90-95% of our dna is junk but its not. They just don't know what its good for.
Think of how many bones are in the human body and how many organs and muscles. Of course you are going to find some similarities.
And if God used recycled patterns all it shows is that practice makes perfect. He took his favorite elements out of other creations and used them in his special creation - the humans!

Just because we do not know what it does does not mean that it is junk.
Wait till they are able to remove it, then see what kind of junk happens!
