There is not enough support for Rugby League in Perth to maintain an NRL team. Perth has two AFL teams and a Super 14 Rugby Union team because that is where the interest lies.

Because R.L. is crap( & I'm from sydney, the heartland of league in australia), perth has two A.F.L teams, a union team, a football team, a basketball team & the W.A cricket team. They obviously have good taste over there & thats why league crashed & burned in their attempt at a perth team. The western reds sucked pole

Because they are brainwashed into thinking rugby union is better than league. But if if you look at NSW and QLD where both codes are played, you can clearly see which one is the most popular and for good reason. There is no where near the amount of stoppages in League as there are in Union.

Because rugby (both flavours) is crap and Australian Rules football is more skilful and more exciting. Even soccer is better than rugby.
Perth used to have a rugby team but they went bust due to lack of interest.

We don't have the brain dead and neckless people in Perth to make up a team. The genes aren't here. We'd have to import them all from NSW.
