Not at all. It's a sort of mental replacement. You want that affection and attention from an older boy...not (from what you say) in a sexual or romantic way, just in a compassionate way. This is very normal...just make sure that the older guys are FULLY aware that you're not interested in sex or anything...guys can make a lot of wrong assumptions when it comes to a situation like this.

It's possible that you'll be obsessed with kinky and/or domineering men when you get older. If that's the case, discipline yourself to be PATIENT. It's almost impossible to have a healthy relationship of that form unless the man is at least in his late 20s and the woman is also at least 22-23 or so.

In the mean time -- as already said, make your sexual limits VERY clear. And ask permission to behave the way you do, or if they mind. If they say you shouldn't do it, don't argue or pout.

If you can't communicate well enough to do that, you shouldn't be interacting well with them. Communication is always very important, but it's particularly important in the kind of relationship that has the potential to get a little dangerous, or to cause misunderstanding.

The answer to "Aww, come on, can't I play around a little bit without being all safety-conscious?" is "Only a VERY little bit."

On the other hand -- if you can develop more mature friendships with older guys, that would be great. Look at the usual tricks and see if any of them fit you, like being in a club for folks who geek out about some particular narrow interest.
