I went to the ER today because i have been with diahreah for over almost 2 weeks. I haven't had fever, abdominal pain, even constipation pain, no swelling of anything, i just felt the diahreah coming as if it were any other diahreah (it just didn't hurt). im white caucasian of european descent and some part jewish, even though i think its around 1/4 or less. at the ER they told me that they didnt know what it was, but that it was probable that it was some kind of disease such as crohne's (im 16). The diarreah is mostly watery, no blood in it. What do you think? do you think i have it or i have something else?

Your best bet is to make an appointment to see a gastroenterologist...a specialist in the field of your complaints. I also have had some personal experience with what you describe, and Crohns was mentioned, but eventually ruled out. I have colitis instead...not sure that was a good tradeoff! He will probably want to scope you ...colonoscopy...which is a painless procedure. They usually give you Versed and Fentanyl so you have no memory of what has taken place. The prep for it is a beast!...but you should get your answer. Did anyone culture this diarrhea for the possibility of parasite infestation or question you about recent trips out of the country...that is also something to think about.

here's the info on Crohn's. It could be an allergy to a certain food or medication you've been using. Two weeks is a long time to have diarrhea. The doctors should have tested you for Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Go to a Gastroenterrologist. My nephew has it and it almost killed him, he left it untreated and now has a colostomy bag at age 30. it can be treated and you must rule it in or out and take care of whatever it is. Good luck.
