Wow, my Mom was the same way and I wasn't allowed to do anything either. I really resented it and she never gave me a chance to prove how dependable I could be. I know I would have made some mistakes, but I think if she had given me more freedom then I wouldn't have been so wild in college, it was like I was finally free. I'm not sure if you've tried to talk to your parent, but you probably have. You could try again, ask for a trial period to show how responsible you can be. See if you can go out for an hour or so and then make sure you get in on-time. If you still don't get more freedom, try to be patient, I'm a parent now and I know how much I worry about my little girl, and I know that's why parents are over-protective, out of love and worry. Bide your time until you are out of the house, I'm not sure how old you are. Just try not to be too crazy and wild when you finally do have your freedom, I made some mistakes and had some close calls, some aren't so lucky. Good Luck to you!

You may think they are over protective but they are only thinking of your well being. Be open and talk to them, and listen with an open mind. You will be a parent one day.

I know how you feel, I had over protective parents too. My best advice is to show them that they can trust you. If that don't work, you are out of luck until you are 18.

Consider yourself very lucky...that they care enough to protect you. Talk to them about letting up on a few things. For one, you don't say how old you are...show them that you can be responsible and they may let you do more things.

OK. Simple. Get on monster. Get a job. Get an apartment.
Get a Yaris. Get into a situation where they won't feel comfortable telling you what is best for you.
By the way - What do you want to do so badly that you know you should not do?

ask your parent to give you a trial run. An activity that requires some amount of freedom, but not too much to freak him/her out. Don't act like a jackass, prove you are levelheaded and trustworthy and remind them that you have these good qualities because of your parents' exemplary parenting skills

Talk to your parents, tell them you feel like theyr'e treating you like a baby. Finally, if they won't listen talk to your Aunt or Uncle or similar and ask them if you can stay over for a break, maybe a day or so.

Well, Why don't you just listen to what they say write a essay on how you felt like i did and earn extra money to take them out and spend time with them then show the essay and maybe they will let you go places .Can you please email me on how it went at mistura2010@yahoo.com. this happened to me but i did what i just told you and it worked.
