The truth is no one knows for sure. Some god-believers will claim (by argument that everything needs to have a source, or a creator) that a god created the universe. Some atheists will claim that the universe was not necessarily created in that sense.
Follow the logic here. If using the god-believer argument that everything requires a source/creator, it begs the question....who created god? And so on and so on..in infinite regression.
The truth is that no one knows. It is all speculation. Now I have a question for you. Why is it important to you to know if some omnipotent creator exists? If this creator has not deigned to show itself so all may believe, why bother?

The Universe never existed without the Creator. God created everything from the Universe to the laws of time, and space that govern it.

the universe has existed eternally, and will exist eternally. even if all matter ceased existing, the universe would just be a big, dark, infinite space of nothing. to say that something created the universe is to say that it created nothing.
the contents of the universe's infinite area are a different story. they would need to have either been created, or have happened by accident.

Yes. It would have happened anyway. It was just a matter of when the probabilities became right. But since the universe didn't exist and ergo no time existed, it happened spontaneously.

No...before the creator there was nothing but darkness...With the creator came light and with the light came all the planets and with the planets came man and with man came God.

Yes. It's illogical to say there's a creator, because no one explains where the creator comes from.

That is areal hard concept for us to understand. It is like a person living in two dimensions not understanding a third dimension. easy for us to grasp but impossible for a two dimensional person. I could write a whole paragraph, but that's it in a nut shell
