the sad thing is they are probably not even aware that they almost ran you off the road. there has been a few times myself while riding my bike where a driver talking on a cel phone failed to see me but i think they were too busy talking on the phone to even notice. i really think it is a dangerous situation. i'm sure there are those that can multi task and have it never be a problem but those that can't risk too many lives.

No. I don't think it is fair to stop me from talking on my cell phone while driving, because my priority is safety on the road and not the call I'm on. Unfortunately, there are many that don't share the same priority. So to be fair, they should start coming down hard on those that have accidents related to their inattention to the road due to a cell phone call.

It's outlawed in many states already but the fines are not stiff enough. People on cell phones never signal when changing lanes or acknowledge you when you flip them off...........ring ring!

I definitely agree there should be a ban on using a cell phone while operating a vehicle UNLESS you are using a hands-free device such as a bluetooth or a headset of some sort.

Considering many drivers can't even drive a car without ANY distractions.. I would have to say.. Yes, it should be outlawed.
