I never got a chance to do my 2005 tax returns so I did them this year with my 06 taxes. Well It has not been 5 weeks and I have heard nothing. It has not even been send back for mistakes. What should I do? I have already checked the "Where's my Refund" site and they said they can't find anything on it. I just want to talk to someone to know that they got it and it is being processed.

My friend , who is a booker, did a separate 2005 return and I mailed it in to the IRS on January 19.

The reasont hat I did not do it before was because I was in the hospital at the time so I just never got around to it.

What do you mean that you "did them this year with my 0-6 taxes"? Did you file a paper 2005 return? Or did you try to add the 2005 income to your 2006 return?

Assuming that you filed a paper 2005 return (the proper thing to do) it may take 6 to 8 weeks to complete the processing of it and post your refund status to the website.

If you added your 2005 income to 2006, your return is being delayed while the IRS sorts out the mess. You'll hear from them eventually, but that would delay things a fair bit.

Why did you wait so long to file 05??? It's 2007 now...chances are your 05's will take awhile. Did you file an extension in 2006 for your 2005 taxes?

That is what you get for not being responsible. If you can't do it or have the time to do your taxes pay a CPA 90-150 to do it for you. That is what I do......NO EXCUSES!!!!!
