He has a nice shaped head and would look great bald.
But this stupid hairpiece looks plastic and doesn't match his hair color.
How do you tell him just get rid of it and just shave it all off without hurting his feelings?

By the way, I've never seen him without the hair piece-- it's woven in or something. When I bring up his hair, he ignores me--- I think he's in denial that I know.

You don't "tell" him to do it (that sounds like a command, and it's up to him) but do talk to him about it...ask why he prefers the hairpiece and that you feel he'd really look better if he just bit the bullet and got rid of all of it...after all, it'll grow back so if he doesn't like it, he can always go back to the tacky hairpiece...
More women find bald sexy, than find toupee's sexy...

Reiterate how sexy he is-- without the hairpiece-- repeatedly. Don't tell him that it looks bad; just let him know how good he'd look without it. That way, he feels flattered, and you get rid of the tacky rug.

Suggest you go swimming and hope it falls off then he can see that you like him with or without the dead skunk on his head. Or you could water down the glue that holds it on.
