my little sister is really sick right now. and the doctors think she has mono but the test results arent back yet. anyway innthe meantime she is laying in bed and resting and taking medicines and what not. but she hasnt eaten ANYTHING all today and all day yesturday?! is that ok? anything good i can suggest for her to eat?

Sorry about your sister. I wouldn't worry so much about her not eating but she definately needs to be drinking lots of fluids. Keep encouraging her to eat something, a milkshake, yogurt, scrambled eggs, anything light for starters. Protein is very important to healing and gaining strength back. Best wishes to her!

First ask!! Doctor nurse pharmacist, ASK!! They will know. Eating now is probably not as important as drinking. maybe not milk but water dilute fruit juice and flat or not too cold soft drinks.

She's not eating because it hurts to swallow. She'll be alright not eating but please be sure she's getting fluids. Chicken broth works well because the oils help coat the throat as it slides down.

Don't force food on her if she can't stomach it. Try simple foods. Saltine crackers usually work.
