Hang a bible around your neck and request tithe... they (or at least I) would steer quite clear.

Only if you plan on sharing it with them. Might I also suggest you prepare a gift basket for them including said garlic, some onions, some fresh basil, a baguette, and perhaps a nice bottle of Merlot. Good manners are the mark of a good neighbor. They need not know what a bigot you might really be.

Stock up on some good wine, organic fruits and veggies, chocolate, maybe a nice cheese plate and some good french bread. Bake the garlic in a low oven with some olive oil...yum! We'll be over shortly. Do you have Tivo?

Why would you think you need garlic? Atheists are normal everyday people just like everybody else. They just choose not to put faith in a Deity system. That is their choice and it does not affect them as human beings in the least. If you view yourself as a decent human being, you need to be decent towards your new neighbors regardless of their spiritual path....or yours.

Dude, your watching too many movies, so what if they are atheist. Don't judge them just because they don't have a religion. I know some Christians who actually cheat on their wives, do drugs, and commit continuous crimes, their religion ain't stopping them and making them a better person. Going to church don't make people holy, and people think it does. People are killing eachother over religious beliefs since time begun. Isn't religion suppost to bring people together and make us a better person? That is why I REFUSE to go to church. I believe in a creator, and energies, but I am not a fanatic. And I don't judge people for what they believe in, to each to ones own. Why can't people eccept that?

Garlic won't be of use...many worship the FSM..and everyone knows garlic and spaghetti go together.....

I'd try....and this might sound strange at first....telling them about your beliefs...and tell them why they should convert to them....

I can almost guaranty that they won't speak to you again.
