Hello, Everyone!
I am to get a root canal on my front tooth tomorrow. I will be driving to and from the dentst myself.
My question is:
Will I feel groggy right after my root canal? I don't think I will be using "laughing gas" to help me. Will I be safe to drive home?

Unless the dentist puts you out completely, you will be fine. You won't have pain until later..... or not. I've had some root canals that didn't even faze me, but others were a little sore for a few days.

you WONT feel groggy unless you are put TOTALLY under. If you just get a regular injection you will be fine.

You should be fine if they give you Novacain. I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled and drove myself to and from. But if they give you the gas, you should find a different ride home.

you will be fine. even if you do use nitrous oxide (laughing gas), it wears off as soon as you stop breathing it. best of luck!
