Don't tell me just to jab a lot because I do. And I know that helps. Would working out my shoulders make my jab stronger?

You can gain a quicker jab by training with heavier gloves. If you normally wear 12 oz gloves then wear 16 oz gloves etc. For a stronger jab you can do some dumbell training once a week but mostly just use the heavy bag. Hit with your punches like you are going to knock someone out....each and every punch. I know that is alot to ask..obviously you will not be able to go the number of round you normally can...but soon enough you will be able to, and then you will not only be in the best shape of your life....but you will have the strongest punch of your life too!!!

Good Luck!

Practice throwing lots of jabs. A strong jab is difficult to develop. Some fighters jab with their strong hand such as Oscar Dela Hoya and Winky Wright. If you are fighting your "correct" stance. Try stepping in with the jab. By taking a step in when you jab, you put more weight behind it. If you do not have much power to begin with, you can turn your jab on impact to induce cuts. While I don't recommend this, the option is on the table. Work on technique and repeat it a thousand times. There's no shortcuts. Practice stepping in.

Get yourself some one to three pound weights and shadowbox with them for a few rounds each time you work out. When you put the weights down, you'll notice your hands will be faster. The idea of using the weights is that you have to work harder against them to throw your punches. You may also want to try weighted gloves. They produce the same effect, and the the weights in the gloves can be adjusted.

One of the best ways to build your jabs is to just practice. Hit the heavy bag hard, and a lot. It is just that easy
