It can range anywhere from mild to moderate flu-like symptoms (vomiting, diarheaa, nauseau, chills, etc.) all the way up to collapse and death. At this point, there are only two brands of peanut butter (Peter Pan and Great Value) linked to the salmonella outbreak.
They are produced in one factory and they have a specific number on the lid. I think the number is something like 2111, and the factory is in Georgia, but I'm not sure.
Do a Google search for "Peanut Butter Salmonella," and you'll find plenty of information.

anything consumable with the salmonella bacteria can affect you. You will get the symptoms within half an hour of eating a tainted food. symptoms will include sweating, dizziness, stomach pains, vomiting , drop in blood pressure ..all the classic symptoms of food poisoning, and you should get to a hospital fast!!!

8 to 12 hours after eating food contaminated with Salmonella you be violently sick to your stomach with chills and often a fever.

Salmonella, regardless of where you get it from, will cause cramps, nausea, vomiting & diarrhea, which may be bloody. Most people recover, but it is sometimes fatal.
