There never was total peace, nor will there ever be. Read the Bible, bloodshed and cruelty throughout, there was NEVER any form of Christian peace at any time, EVER. Christianity`s espousal of peace and harmony has never been seen to work.

God and religion are one of the main reasons there will never be eternal peace on Earth. Religion is the problem not the solution. Look at the war in iraq, whats the based around? Look at the wars in Africa whats the based around? Seriously i know we will never have eternal peace because there are so many different opinions, but all people need to realise is the God and religion are the sources off all these problems.

I'll let the bible answer this question.....Psalms 37:10-11 reads .. And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.
 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace...Remember also the Lords prayer which says in part..‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. 10Â Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth. 11Â Give us today our bread for this day; 12Â and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13Â And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the wicked one.’ Did you notice verse 10 which said let your will take place on EARTH.. The bible indicates that God will soon step in and control mankinds affairs here on earth, then and only then will we see peace on earth.

God gave us this earth to do what we will...it is the humans that are making a mess of things! No, I don't believe we can live in peace, too many egos

Are you crazy?? Now you blame God??
The truth is that all was well with Adam until Eve came along. Never forget that. Adam was chilling by himself for years and years and then Eve comes and in two weeks, he's out of the garden. He loses his job, he becomes homeless and is on the streets, his credit cards are maxed out, the bank wants their payments or the house. All in two weeks. That's how fast your luck can change when Eve steps in to your world. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

God made man and gave him freedom of choice. Come on you guys, stop putting the blame on God.
Anyway, I believe man is the architect of his own destruction. Unless he chooses to put down his difference with fellow men, no peace can be achieved.
Come on you guys, just for one day try and be nice to your enemies. No, no, no...don't stuff it until you've tried it.

Eternal peace can only be achieved through our eternal God. Men know of no such thing. Our peace is only when it suits us because of our evil hearts.

you'll never have piece on earth except from the 1,000 years that is yet to come because satan is in the world and won't leave the people alone becasue he wants to convert them.
