what does a stable military consist of and also the political part of the country what does it consist of ... i dont know the definintion really i guess... please help i have a paper due tonight

Iraq will only have political stability if a new government will be formed without foreign intervention. The government and the political system must be established by the Iraqis themselves so that it will be acceptable to the people.

My Modest Opinion

Politically stable region for Iraq means to seperate each ethnic region similar to the balkan states. There will be no "stabiity" for a country in civil war. Eliminate the civil war and bring stability to the region by creating individual sovereign states for the sunni, shiite, and kurds.

The localized permanent military will be more efficient and efffective for each of those states. They need equipment and training for patroling, while the U.S.should only be used as a support in larger conflict i.e. air superiority, surgical striking etc.

The region politically and culturely is not much different than the Balkan states Serbia, Crotia etc., The model should be used the same. Create some UN buffer zones between the three and do not let people in or out without proper papers and that goes for any transportation into any of the zones from foreign nations ie Iran and Syria. Anyone coming into the area without proper papers and checkpoints could lead to the use of lethal force. And let everyone know it!

Stability will only be accomplished when the waring tribes agree to a common agenda that benefits the MAJORITY of the Iraqi citizens.

In ANY society, you are going to have a group that is NOT happy; if 80% are happy and 20% not, then so be it.

Whatever faction REMOVES the oppression of the MASSES will prevail.

The leaders of the various factions have to STOP chasing their own PERSONAL agenda for POWER and think of the people that they will lead.

You do NOT kill civilians to get press or attention but look for SOLUTIONS that serve the MAJORITY of the PEOPLE that will follow.

You have a paper due tonight? You are ONLY addressing it TONIGHT? TOO BUSY with social obligations because mommy and daddy are paying the bill? Do your own research and learn THINK rather than have others bail you out at the last minute.

For iraq to have a stable political region would mean there are nno major conflicts inthe goverment and people,and a stable military consistsof a division of power equally ,no conflicts and also nothing that would cause a major conflict.I hope this helps.
