Mother always made mincemeat tarts and pies and she always put lots of rum into the mix,must have been for extra flavor, this year she made over 24 doz.they taste great

you're talking of the condensed mincemeat, right? i made them once for my dad(i don't eat it) he said they were okay. nothing to write home about.not much flavor. i thought it might be good in oatmeal cookies though. they have more flavor.

its not a bad recipe,but i have a better one. the crust is made with creamcheese, its heavenly! email me if you want it.
